Associate Vice Chancellor and Chief Information Officer
Thomas Hoover
Thomas Hoover was appointed as the Associate Vice Chancellor and Chief Information Officer in January 2012. Prior to his appointment, Thomas served as the Director of Instructional Technology Support at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. At the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Thomas is the university’s highest ranking technology executive. He is responsible for helping to create and for helping implement the technology vision at UTC. He brings over 12 years higher education experience to the Information Technology department at UTC.
Thomas was born in southern California and has a Bachelor in Political Science from the University of California at Davis and a Master’s in Public Policy from Pepperdine’s School of Public Policy.
