- What is Mocs Mail+?
Mocs Mail+ is the new student email system powered by Google. It has the look and feel of Google GMail, but it is the Google Apps for Education service.

Yes
- Has my new email address changed?
Yes, and it will be in format: abc123@mocs.utc.edu
- When I log in, I see my address as <UTCID>
@mocs.utc.edu. Why is it <UTCID> @mocs.utc.edu?
Your UTCID@mocs.utc.edu is now your primary email account and address. We have provided you with a friendly alias usually in the format of first-last@mocs.utc.edu.

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga has chosen to implement 2 email systems one for Students and one for Employees.

Yes, but remember that all official University email will be sent to @mocs.utc.edu and your responsibilities are described at: http://www.utc.edu/Administration/AcceptableUsePractices/
- Can I use another program (Outlook, Thunderbird, MacMail) to read my new email account?

- Will my “myMocsnet” password sync with my Mocs Mail+ password?
No your passwords will not automatically sync. Please email mobileutc@mocs.utc.edu, and include your UTC ID in your request.
- How does this new email affect how I use Blackboard and other similar university services?
Mocs Mail+ should not affect any current services. Your new email will be populated to campus wide systems including UTC Online(Blackboard).
- Will my old emails be migrated to my new account?
If you choose to migrate your old email, you can request your email be copied over to Mocs Mail+ by various methods. Please call the ITD Help desk at 425-4000.
- Is there any plan to migrate faculty to the new Mocs Mail+ service?
Not at this time. All active students at the University will all have a Mocs Mail+ account.
- If there is a service disruption in Google Apps can UTC correct this issue?
No

7 GB - on your main page within Mocs Mail+ you will see your usage displayed
- Can I send attachments and, if so, how big can they be?
With Mocs Mail+, you can send a total message size including attachments of 25 megabytes (MB).
Please note that the recipient may not be able to accept your message if they use other email services with smaller message size limits. - Can I check my new Mocs Mail+ account on my phone?
Yes, you can request assistance for access and supplemental instructions. Please email mobileutc@mocs.utc.edu, and include your UTC ID in your request.

The only advertisements that are displayed come from webclips, you can turn these off, per account.
To turn off Web Clips, Login to Mocs Mail+, click on Settings in upper right corner, click on Web Clips and uncheck 'Show my Web Clips above the Inbox' - Where is my "MyFiles'"?
Currently you access 'MyFiles' via Mymocsnet. Icon upper right corner. This option will be going away, please move or copy any documents you have stored in MyFiles to Google Documents.
Uploading files to Google Documents
Login to your My Mocs Net account and select Mocs Mail +. In your Mocs Mail tool bar select Documents. When the new tab or window opens select Create New and a drop box will appear. Select Folder and type in the name of your folder (you can also add a description of the folder if needed). After you have created your folder, select Upload. Here, you can upload multiple files within the 1 GB limit. If preferable, you can choose to convert your uploaded files to Google Docs format. Below the file converter, there is a Destination Folder button which allows you to upload your files to any folder you have created. Next, select the Privacy button that lets you decide the level of publicity you want your files to have. Finally, select Start Upload and your files will be uploaded to their specified folder.
