PDA and Smart Phone Support

In recent years there have been a growing number of requests to sync UTC email accounts to personal cell phones, smart phones and PDAs. In an effort to provide the best customer service possible, we have provided the following tips for purchasing email/internet capable mobile devices that seem to be more compatible with the UTC email system. Please remember that we can not recommend any specific device bases on service provider or phone/PDA quality.

  • It is best to purchase devices that are running the Windows Mobile 6.0 or newer, or Mac OS (iPhone, iPod Touch). Both Windows and Mac OS work with our Exchange server to sync calendar and contacts.   • Blackberry phones will only sync email. if you want to sync your calendar and contacts you will need Windows mobile or an iPhone.

The help desk will assist in setting up your email and registering your phone on the network. Please bring your phone to the help desk in Admin 103 for help.
