NetID
It is an ID for faculty and staff to identify you on Knoxville's servers, such as WebIRIS, Certifications, Surveys, Payroll advises and CBT training software.
There are three ways in which you can go about changing your password,
if you have forgotten it.
Look up your NetID at http://directory.utk.edu
Online Reset Function
- Go to http://directory.utk.edu
- Click the Password Management link
- Click on NetID/TMail/Active Directory Password
- Click on Forgot Your Password
- Enter your NetID, UT ID # (you can enter your SSN or your employee ID #), and birthdate and hit continue.
- Answer the questions presented and hit continue.
- It will ask you to set a new password.
- You will be logged out
Use the Initial Password Setup
(You can only use this method once)
- Go to http://directory.utk.edu
- Click on NetID/TMail/Active Directory Password
- Click on First Time Password Setup
- Enter your NetID, UT ID # (you can enter your SSN or your employee ID #), and birthdate and hit continue
- It will say "Verification Succeeded and ask you to set a new password.
- After setting the password, Enable the password reset.
