Networks and Infrastructure

Designs, installs and maintains all wired and wireless data and telephone networks on the UTC campus. We manage the infrastructure on campus which includes fiber runs between buildings and all the building wiring. We manage all the phones and voicemail across campus.

Phone System - The UTC PBX phone system supports 2961 telephones for on campus calls, both local and long distance plus 911 service and the new red emergency classroom phones.

Reporting Problems -Experiencing problems with your phone (no dial tone), voicemail or pagers contact the help desk. The help desk will log your problem as a trouble ticket and a technician will follow up to resolve your problem.

Work Orders

You can submit a work order for moves, adds, or changes to services.

  • Telephones
  • Alarms
  • Network cabling
  • Special cabling
  • New networking applications

Examples of work orders: Add a new phone line, move phones, change to exisiting service, add data drops, add voicemail, etc.
