Telephone Functions Guide for D-Term Phones

  • Call Forwarding:
    • All Calls -Dial *11 then the number to which you are forwarding all your calls to. [Dial #11 to cancel.]
    • Busy - Dial *22 then the number to forward the call to if you are on your phone. [Dial #22 to cancel.]
    • No answer -Dial *77 then the number to forward your calls to after 3 rings. [Dial #77 to cancel.]
  • Call Hold - Switch Hook[Flash] and Dial *33 [Switch hooking Toggles between callers]
  • Call Pickup
    • Direct - Dial *44 and the 4 digit number where the call you wish to directly pickup is ringing
    • Group - Dial *55 to pick up any call ringing on any station in your group
  • Call transfer: - to transfer a call in progress, switch-hook [flash] then dial the extension to transfer to. You may annouce caller, or hang up to connect.
  • Call Back [trunk queing] when recieving a busy [on campus], switch-hook [flash] then dial *66 . Your phone will be rung when the called sta or trk is free. [Dial #66 to cancel ]
  • Conference call - place a call to first party, follow procedure for call transfer then instead of hanging up, switch-hook [flash] to connect conference.
  • Bad Call notification - when experienceing a bad call [i.e., outside trk static, harrasing caller], switch-hook [flash] then dial ## [ you should hear a tone after dialing ##]. Notify Communications or Police.
