Steps To Accessing CBT
Step 1: Looking up your Net ID and setting your password.
- First, go to https://directory.utk.edu and type in your name to find your Net ID.
- Next, go to https://directory.utk.edu/setup to set your password. This involves filling in your Net ID and your University ID (which is your social security number) along with your birth date.
- When setting your password be sure to Enable on line password reset. You will be prompted to select three different questions with their answers.
- You are now ready for the next step.
Step 2: Registering for CBT
- Go to https://oit.utk.edu/cbt/newregister.html and enter your Net ID along with your password.
- Some user will be assigned a Group Code from their supervisor. If you have been assigned a code be sure to enter it at the bottom of the page.
- You are now registered!
Step 3: Logging Into CBT
- Go to https://oit.utk.edu/cbt/login.html and login with your Net ID and Password.
Configuring Pop-up Blocker
If you are in the Personnel Computer Lab all of the computers are configured to work with CBT. However, if you are using a home computer or office computer the Pop-up Blocker will need to be configured to allow pop-ups for this web site.
Go to Tools→Pop-up Blocker→Pop-up Blocker Settings. Under Filter Settings select Low: Allow pop-ups from secure sites.
