Software Updates for Mac
Updating software on a Mac is easy. First, you click on the Apple icon in the upper-left corner of the screen and select "Software Update..."
A window will pop up that says "Checking for new software".
If your software is current, you will see this:
If your software is not up to date, it will prompt you to install the appropriate packages.
If required, enter your Username and Password.
Filter through the appropriate license agreement prompts.
The installation process will begin.
Once you have successfully updated, you will see a success message.
If your machine requires a restart, make sure you close all documents and restart.
