Creating Contacts and Distribution Lists in Outlook

  1. Go to the Contacts window in Outlook by selecting contacts from the list.
    Select Contacts
  2. Click on the new button or go to File -> New -> Contact.

  3. Fill in the fields. Full name and E-mail address required. Select Save and Close.

Distribution List

When creating a distribution list you can select members from your contacts list or you can add in new addresses. When adding in a new e-mail address you have the option to add that e-mail to your contacts.

  1. Click on the little arrow beside new to bring down the drop box or go to File-> New -> Distribution List.

  2. To select members from your contacts click on the Select Members... button. To Add a new e-mail address click on the Add New... button. Give the distribution list a name in the Name field.

  3. If adding a new e-mail address, fill in the Display Name and E-mail address. To save this e-mail to your contacts list check the box Add to Contacts.

  4. After selecting and adding new members, Save and Close the distribution window.
