Outlook Email Setup
Outlook 2003 settings go to the Start menu
then Settings, Control Panel. In the Control Panel look for the Mail control panel.
- Select E-mail Accounts.
- Select: Add a new e-mail account.
- Select POP3 for the Server Type.
- Click Next. Fill in the fields:
- Name: User’s full name
- E-mail Address: First-Lastname@utc.edu
- POP3: mail.utc.edu
- SMTP: mail.utc.edu
- Username: UTCID
- Password:
- Click on the More Settings...
- In the Internet E-mail Settings window click on the Outgoing Server tab. Check the option "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication. Then select Choose "Use same settings as my incoming server "
- Click on the Advanced tab and check the two boxes for "This server requires an encrypted connection." Set POP3 port to 995 and SMTP port to 465.
- Open Outlook and Check E-mail.
