Microsoft IT Academy
Welcome to the Microsoft IT Academy
The Microsoft IT Academy provides e-learning for most of Microsoft's software applications. Microsoft has grouped individual courses into collections. There are over 150 collections available and they have been divided into two levels.
- Essential Level e-learning courses are targeted towards students that wish to learn about using popular Microsoft products such as the Office Suite, Windows XP, and Vista.
- Advanced Level e-learning courses are targeted toward IT professionals seeking certification from Microsoft. For easier access, these collections have been grouped by exam number.
A complete list of essential and advanced level collections (as well as exam numbers) currently available can be found in the linked pdf. Collections.pdf
Note to UTC Students
To get access to the Microsoft IT Academy you will need to contact the help desk at 425-4000. You will need to create a Windows Live account with your UTC email address and let us know what courses you would like to take (see the collections.pdf for a complete list).
Note to Faculty and Staff
While the IT Academy is available for faculty and staff to use, it is geared toward students and IT professionals. For basic training in Microsoft products, we recommend that faculty and staff use the Microsoft E-learning system which can be accessed at http://oit.utk.edu/ms/.
If you are a interested in using the IT Academy as coursework for a university class, please contact Bruce Delaney at (865)974-6491 or at bdelaney@utk.edu. There are certain options that can be enabled to assist instructors with tracking students' progress within the IT Academy. You will need to provide a list of courses you would like to offer, for a complete list: collections.pdf.
